Dear Reader,
I have always wondered how my favorite writers found the time to both experience the world so fully and to write about it so insightfully, and beautifully.
When I last wrote to you, I didn’t expect that it would take two years until I would write to you again. I guess there was some life I had to experience – I got married, defended my Ph.D., and figured out a career. I have been fortunate that, as a result of friendships formed through writing The Tab, I have found a niche for myself in psychedelics to work as I finished my degree and thereafter.
I’m now working as Technical Specialist at Calyx Law. Some of you may already know Graham, fearless leader there and industry staple on psychedelic intellectual property. I am also the Science Lead at PsyDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization (i.e. DAO) dedicated to finding community-owned and -governed inroads to progress psychedelic science and art. PsyDAO is one of many BioDAOs in the decentralized science ecosystem, which I expect you’ll be hearing more and more about in the coming years.
So yeah, I’ve found myself at a few bleeding edges of psychedelic science - and I think I’ve figured out a way to make my time away here a fair trade.
The Tab is coming back, under new (community) ownership by PsyDAO. I will remain an editor along with Reilly Capps, PsyDAO Content Lead (and who some of you also may know). We will be featuring pieces from new, brilliant, and savvy psychedelic writers, offering fresh voices, topics, and perspectives.
The Tab will very much remain about teaching psychedelic science, but like life, it will now be about a whole lot more.
Stay tuned - Issue 001 drops Friday February 28th.
Cheers,
Tyler
