Dearest amazing readers,
The end of the semester is nigh. This means I will be buckling down in the lab to see through my semester research goals, with binge grading sessions sprinkled in. My next deep dive newsletter on the Psychology of Psychedelics is a doozy, and I want to do it justice. So, I’ve decided to delay it until at least two weeks. I may be able to get out a Friday Journal Club this Friday, but if not, they will certainly be back next Friday.
To satisfy your science thirst, here is a nice composite electron micrograph I took of the honeybee blood-brain barrier. 🐝 🧠
And here’s a short video I put together showing honeybees cooling off in the summer heat:
I truly appreciate your patience, and I am excited to get back up to speed once summer settles in.
Cheers,
-Tyler
P.S. Bicycle day is Monday! ⚗️🚲🔮 Have some sweet plans or an amazing memory you’d like to share? If I receive enough, I’ll compile them in a newsletter on the 19th so we can all bask in each other’s past, present, and/or future lysergic revels. ☮️✌🏽
I shall look forward to more in May. I fell off my bicycle when I was 13.
Hi Tyler,
I am a friend of your grandparents. I just received a booklet touting investment in pharmaceuticals and specifically psychoactive medications. Do you know of Dr. Ryan Hartwell and Geof Belair? They are associated with MINDCURE. They appear to be doing research on the same psychoactive chemicals you write about. Let know what you think.
Thanks,
Stu Friedman
